The Parish of Traprain
Burial Ground Surveys

The Parish of Traprain has a new web site which can be found here.
For details of the burial ground surveys in the parish, continue with this page.

In 1996 a project began, which, by the time it was completed in 2006, had fulfilled its aim of recording all of the monumental inscriptions in the churchyards of the Parish of Traprain. The results of that project are presented here.

Also included are some guidelines, based on the work of the survey group, which might help anyone interested in carrying out a graveyard survey.

If you find any of the information here interesting or useful, or if you can suggest how it could be improved, we would be delighted to hear from you. To send an email just click on this contact link or on the one at the bottom of any page of the website.

If you want to return to this page at any time, click on the Home link at the foot of any page.
