AT HADDINGTON 22ND JULY 1831 AGED
22 YEARS.
JAMES. MASON WHITTINGHAM DIED AT
HADDINGTON 24TH AUGUST 1832 AGED
28 YEARS.
JOHN. CLOTH MERCHANT HADDINGTON
DIED THERE 1ST MAY 1846 AGED
44 YEARS.
WILLIAM. CLOTH MERCHANT
HADDINGTON DIED THERE 14TH JUNE 1852
AGED 45 YEARS.
ALSO OF THEIR DAUGHTER
ELIZABETH, WHO DIED AT HADDINGTON
30TH DECEMBER 1881, AGED 83 YEARS.


This inscription was recorded in an earlier survey completed
in 1971 by Miss Jenny Brown and Miss Margaret Warren.
Erected in Memory of John Gray mason Whittingham who died 16th July 1829 aged 63 years and Marion Ewen his wife who died 24th March 1829 aged 57 years Also their sons David Student of Divinity died at Haddington 22nd July 1831 aged 22 years. James mason Whittingham died at Haddington 24th August 1832 aged 28 years. John cloth merchant Haddington died there 1st May 1846 aged 44 years. William cloth merchant Haddington died there14th June 1852 aged 45 years Also their daughter Elizabeth who died at Haddington 30th December 1881 aged 83 years.
