This inscription was recorded in an earlier survey completed
in 1971 by Miss Jenny Brown and Miss Margaret Warren.

Here lies interred the corps Peter Veitch who died on the 19th Sepr 1764 aged 59 (or 39) years. Also Agnes Glasfoord his spouse who died on the 10th of May 1770? aged 76 years. Likewise their daughter May who died on the 6th April 1751 aged 3 years.
