in 1971 by Miss Jenny Brown and Miss Margaret Warren.
To the memory of Helen Goodale spouse to Andrew Paterson in Whittingham who died 6th
Dec 1819 aged 70 years.
Also Andrew Paterson who died April 1st 1826 aged 78 years.
Also William Watson who died the 7th May 1852 aged 72 years.
Mary Paterson his spouse died February 27th 1863 aged 72 years.

This silent grave my bones shall keep;
Until that glorious day;
When I arise from my long sleep;
And leave this bed of clay:
ANDREW CAIRNS
DIED 31ST AUGUST 1865 --- 37 YEARS.
WILLIAM CAIRNS DIED 25TH NOVR 1869 AGED 79 YEARS
JUANNA PATERSON HIS WIFE DIED 9TH NOVR 1872 AGED 83
This inscription was recorded in an earlier survey completed

Andrew Cairns died 31st August 1865 aged 37 years
William Cairns died 25th Novr 1869 aged 69 years.
Juanna Paterson his wife died 9th Novr. 1872 aged 83 years.
William Cairns was named as a householder in Whittingehame village in 1828.
