Drawing a Graveyard Plan |

Stage 4
|
Stage 4 Decide on a positive and negative direction for each grid line. For example, you could consider distances from west to east to be positive, while distances from east to west are negative. Similarly, distances from south to north are positive, and from north to south, negative. Determine the position of each stone by measuring the distances along the adjacent grid line to each end of the stone, and the offset from the gridline at each end of the stone. Measure the length and breadth of each stone. Sketch the shape, especially if the 'footprint' it makes is not rectangular. Carefully record all the measurements in a table from where they can be transferred to the plan.
