Janet Brotherstone was the daughter of John Brotherstone, a Ploughman, and of Jeanie Aitchinson. She died at Pressmennan Farm where her husband Peter Whitecross was a Ploughman. He was the son of William Whitecross, a Groom, and Catherine Allan.
