James Glass, the son of Robert Glass, Shepherd, and Isabella Craig, was a Grazier/Shepherd/Dairyman. Janet Allison was the daughter of William Allison, a Farm Servant, and Isabella White. Robert Glass started life as a Garden Labourer and Domestic Servant but became a Railway Traffic Controller/ Railway Guard. He married Agnes Murray the daughter of Robert Murray, a Gamekeeper, and Elizabeth Dickson [See No 48].
