Thomas Brotherstone was a Ploughman, then Farm Steward at Pitcox Farm. He was the son of Peter Brotherstone, Farm Steward, and Janet Wallace. He became Farm Manger at Blackburn Farm, Cockburnspath. Christina Brydon was the daughter of Robert Brydon, Shepherd, and Elizabeth Lawson. Their son Thomas Brotherstone is named on the Stenton War Memorial.
