Richard Fortune married Martha Burnet at Whittingehame in 1811. Peter Blair was a Labourer and latterly the Gatekeeper living at Biel North Lodge. His parents were Alexander Blair and Margaret Denholm. Elizabeth Fortune was the daughter of William Fortune, a Farm Servant, and Margaret Mercer. Peter Blair and Elizabeth Fortune both died at the North Lodge.
