James Davidson, who was born at sea and died in 1907 at Stenton, was a Grocer, Tailor and Clothier in the village. His parents were James Davidson, a Gardener, and Jessie Cumming. Janet Fulton was the daughter of John Fulton, Forester, and Margaret Wallace. James Davidson, their son, was an Accountant who died unmarried at Stenton.
