Isaac Bayley, the son of George Bayley, Writer to the Signet, and Helen Hunt, was a Farmer at Halls Farm, Spott Parish. He was ordained as an Elder of the Kirk in 1895 and presented the World War I Roll of Honour to the Church. Grace Pott was the daughter of Gideon Pott, Landed Proprietor, and Janet Hunter. There is a memorial brass in Stenton Church to the son of Isaac and Grace Bayley, Lieutenant George Baird Bayley, King's Own Scottish Borderers, who was killed at the Battle of Ypres [See No C2]. William Cheyne was a Medical Practitioner
