James Tweedie was a Farmer at Deuchrie, the son of Richard Tweedie, Farmer, and Helen Eckford. He was a breeder of prize cattle, sheep and horses. He was a member of the Founding Committee set up to establish Stenton Bowling Club in 1876. Two of his sons emigrated to the USA. Margaret Mill's parents were James Mill, Farmer at Luggate Farm, Whittingehame, and Agnes Petrie. Ellen died unmarried as did Agnes.
