Robert Myles, the son of William Myles, Land Steward, and Agnes Cockburn, was a Forester who lived at Biel West Lodge. Janet Lawrie's parents were Peter Lawrie, Farmer, and Margaret Tait. William Myles was a Sergeant in the Royal Scots. His memorial is in the St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France. Margaret Myles was a Dairymaid who died unmarried in East Linton.
