Thomas Gillies was an Estate Gardener living at Biel Hill. He was the son of John Gillies, Market Gardener, and Georgina Wilson. He was ordained as an Elder of the Kirk in 1922. Annie Morrison was the daughter of Hugh Morrison, Mason, and Annie Cameron.
