John Bathgate was a Farm Worker, the son of Adam Bathgate, Shepherd, and Maria Hall. Mary Telford was the daughter of William Telford, Ploughman/Tractor Driver, and Marion Miller. James Bathgate died unmarried at Ruchlaw Mains. He was the brother of Adam Bathgate [See No 254].
