BORN DECEMBER 9TH 1835, DIED MARCH 27TH 1906.
REBECCA LAMB, HIS DAUGHTER,
BORN 19TH AUG. 1844, DIED 15TH OCT. 1930



John Knox lived at Brown's Place, East Linton and was a cloth merchant (draper) and had his business at 9, High Street. His daughter, Rebecca, carried on the business, eventually in partnership with J. W. Stewart (Knox and Stewart) until she retired in 1910.
