Rev. Thomas Marjoribanks, born at Lochmaben, was son of Rev. Thomas Marjoribanks, minister of Stenton. He preached before Queen Victoria at Balmoral on two occasions. He financed the building of Nos. 5-12, School Road, during the 1880s. He was president of East Linton Bowling Club 1880 - 1904 (24 years!). His gravestone is of Peterhead granite.
